Explore 10 New Maps in Demo Update for Go Wayback!
June 30, 2025
Today we’ve released an update to our demo for Prologue: Go Wayback!
Download the demo on Steam and Epic Games Store
In today’s refresh ten new full maps take the place of the four map-seeds previously available in the demo. All but one of the new maps are handpicked by our playtest community on Discord, the last one is a favourite from PLAYERUNKNOWN (seed 1,166,976,388). Read on for a sense of what’s waiting beyond the cabin door.

This update is part of our ongoing maintenance of the demo, and we’d like to thank everyone who has taken time to send crash reports, bugs and errors, and general impressions. Go Wayback! is both an actively developed game and a technology testbed, your feedback via Steam discussions as well as in our Discord is a huge help in guiding our work.
A common piece of feedback has been that previously Go Wayback! was hard learn and that the game could do more to help newcomers get situated. While we want the game to be challenging, there is a difference between difficulty and frustration. So, as a quick fix while we explore the issue we’ve added a concise Help screen that appears on launch—tap H at any time to bring it back.

Read the full changelog on our User Support Hub. For those of you looking to learn more about PLAYERUNKNOWN Productions and Go Wayback! we have a community fireside scheduled for July the 16th, come and join via our Discord. We’ve got lots to discuss and its a great opportunity to answer any questions about the future of the game.
To get closer to the development of Go Wayback! ask on Discord about our Outsiders program where select community members get early access to the full build of Go Wayback! We’ve just started the Outsiders and already its been a great way to get map recommendations for our demos as well as helping find bugs and develop our game.
